Notte dei Musei 2010
Saturday 15 May 2010 - Museo Tattile Statale Omero, Ancona.
In collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture and Communications, il Ministero per i Beni e le Attività culturali and "Music Day 2010" an event organised by the Colle Guasco Lions Club, Ancona.
Angeli e Nuvole - Angels and Clouds
9.30 pm - midnight. Booking is preferable.
A donation of 6 Euros for the "Per il Museo Tattile Statale Omero Onlus" Association funds will be collected.
An exhibition dedicated to the beauty and grace of angels which you can discover in the semi-darkness of the museum rooms. The heart of the visit will be the "Toccare gli angeli – Inediti marmi di Gioacchino Varlè" exhibition and an area dedicated to the enjoying the taste of a "Nuvola", a new, intensely flavoured, bitter-sweet, tactile speciality created for the Museo Omero by the chef Elis Marchetti which will be offered to each participant. Accompanying the guests on their voyage of discovery will be music played on a Hang, a new acoustic instrument, played by Federico Occhiodoro. Also, Gabriele Bartoletti, a partially-sighted painter, will demonstrate his own special technique which make images comprehensible to blind people. He will begin a painting on the theme of the evening, which will then be unveiled on Sunday 16 May.

Laboratorio Acchiappanuvole – Catch the Clouds workshop
5.30 – 7 pm. For children and young people aged 6 to 13. Booking is compulsory.

Children with their noses in the air! To intercept flocks of clouds, serpents, sparks and the flutter of angels. A delightful evening with art, science and meteorology to learn about the heavens, clouds and angels, with animated story-telling and a learning workshop where participants become capable Cloudcatchers. Later, the partially-sighted painter Gabriele Bartoletti will unveil the painting on the theme of angels that he began on Saturday 15 May.
Dinner in the dark
7.30 – 9.30 pm. Booking is compulsory.
A donation of 20 Euros for the "Per il Museo Tattile Statale Omero Onlus" Association funds will be collected.
The blindfolded public will be able to try dishes specially created by the chef Elis Marchetti from the Osteria della Piazza using products sourced from prestigious local farms and Omero Olive Oil made at Fattoria Petrini, Monte San Vito. Francesca Petrini will be coordinating the event.
