Slightly later than usual, our April edition contains three thought-provoking articles which will interest both readers and listeners.
Stefano Zuffi, art historian and curator of the “F. Podesti” Art Gallery in Ancona, illustrates his model, and indeed his enthusiasm, for a totally multi-sensory museum. In his youth, he was deeply impressed by Guercino’s painting of Santa Palazia in the Podesti Gallery which led him to the idea that incense, fabrics, scents and sounds can be experienced and manually explored individually by visitors.
Umberto Piersanti explains to Gabriella Papini what the meaning and the role of poetry are to him today; how it could be more widely disseminated and with what purpose. Don’t miss his verses read by Luca Violini.
In conclusion, Annalisa Trasatti interviews Maria Sciola, who describes “the sonorous garden” that her father, the sculptor Pinuccio Sciola, invented and constructed in the family citrus grove in his native Sardinia. An exhibition park where the stone emits original melodies.
