The Warriors of Cagli in the International Journal “Heritage”

On Heritage, an international open-access journal dedicated to cultural and natural heritage science, a publication has been released presenting the digital and accessible project "Sulle tracce dei guerrieri di Cagli", created to enhance the appeal of a small museum in the Marche region's hinterland: the Archaeological Museum and the Via Flaminia of Cagli.

A new multimedia and inclusive exhibition is now active at the Cagli Museum, thanks to European funding from the Erasmus+ Next-Museum project, research by the Distori Heritage - Department of the Marche Polytechnic University, the expertise of our museum in accessibility, the coordination of Fondazione Marche Cultura, and the involvement of many other professionals from the Marche region.

The publication, written in English, is titled "Inclusive Museum Engagement: Multisensory Storytelling of Cagli Warriors' Journey and the Via Flamina Landscape Through Interactive Tactile Experiences and Digital Replicas." It explores the project's various stages, from context analysis to implementation and validation, illustrating how the use of multisensory storytelling, interactive tactile experiences, and digital replicas can enrich the museum experience, making it more inclusive and engaging.

The authors are: Paolo Clini, Romina Nespeca, Umberto Ferretti, Federica Galazzi, Monica Bernacchia.
