The Museo Omero has been designing special training and refresher courses<\/strong> since 2004, with the aim to provide an overview of the fields of disability and accessibility<\/strong> to cultural heritage. The training staff is composed of our own expert tutors and as guests we have international and Italian specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to its annual long-standing national course on accessibility to cultural heritage<\/strong>, the Museo Omero also exports its experience off-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Museum is a partner in the <\/strong>University of Macerata’s Master’s degree in Accessibility to Media, Arts and Culture (AMAC), for which it is carrying out various training modules (2022 – 2023). It gives lectures for the Master’s degree in “the Economics and Management of Tourism” at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and for the “Museum Accessibility, Tools and Assistive Technologies” Higher Education Course at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It oversaw the design and implementation of the “Educational Technology” course at the Accademia di Belle Arti Santa Giulia di Brescia (2019 – 2020). Other specific training events include those created for: the Accademia di Belle Arti dell\u2019Aquila (2023); the Teatro Grande di Brescia as part of the Progetto OPEN (2022); the Universit\u00e0 del Salento (2022); the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo (2018 – 2019); the Associazione Italia Langobardorum (2018) and for the Museo Opera del Duomo di Orvieto (2013).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 20 August 2018, the Museo Omero was officially recognized as a qualified body for the training of teachers<\/strong>, pursuant to Ministerial Directive 170\/2016 of the MIUR, Department for the educational system of teaching and training, General Directorate for school staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
