{"id":35177,"date":"2024-12-13T12:28:56","date_gmt":"2024-12-13T11:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/museoomero.it\/?p=35177"},"modified":"2025-07-31T18:16:52","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T16:16:52","slug":"the-shade-can-see","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/museoomero.it\/en\/exhibitions\/the-shade-can-see\/","title":{"rendered":"The shade can see by Enzo Cucchi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>L&#8217;ombra vede &#8211; The shade can see.<br><strong>Extended until 31 of August 2025.<\/strong><br>Museo Tattile Statale Omero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To truly understand a work of art, <strong>Enzo Cucchi<\/strong> explains, &#8220;you need to see it only in the dark; because things are preserved in the shadow and the dark.&#8221; To observe the world, he adds, &#8220;you should place your head on the ground, like pumpkins, and your hands on things.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A scenographic journey for a sensory experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting 17 December 2024, the Museo Omero will host not just an exhibition, but an intimate and sensory experience designed in collaboration with the artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>multisensory and scenographic journey<\/strong> conceived for an <strong>engaging aesthetic experience<\/strong>.<br>The exhibition features <strong>42 works <\/strong>by the renowned artist from the Marche region: <strong>4 unpublished drawings<\/strong> and <strong>38 sculptures<\/strong> crafted from various materials, including bronze, marble, ceramic, and wood. These works are arranged in an evocative setting, with scenography inspired by the artist&#8217;s poetic vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>special cave<\/strong> will house three sculptures to be discovered in complete darkness, solely through touch. A <strong>countryside farmyard <\/strong>becomes a place of social interaction, reflection, and knowledge. The <strong>artist&#8217;s atelier<\/strong> will transport visitors into the creative space where Enzo Cucchi&#8217;s imagination comes to life. Finally, a dedicated <strong>area <\/strong>will allow visitors to unleash their own <strong>creativity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accessibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All sculptures can be explored through touch, and the artist&#8217;s drawings have been rendered in relief by the Omero Museum. The staff will always welcome visitors to ensure an introduction to the experience and its optimal enjoyment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the invaluable collaboration of our partners, the information is available in multiple formats. <strong>Rai Pubblica Utilit\u00e0 <\/strong>has produced <strong>two accessible videos<\/strong> to introduce the experience: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EZ5hRrQb8ks\">one with Italian text<\/a> and a translation into <strong>Italian Sign Language<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6f0R1O6ATKQ\">another with English text<\/a> and a translation into <strong>International Signs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same information is also available in <strong>Augmentative and Alternative Communication<\/strong> \u2013 in two versions: one detailed and one simplified, created by expert <strong>Valeria Petricca<\/strong>. The experience is accessible to people with mobility impairments: the space is reachable via lift, and the exhibition tables are suitable for exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Info<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Extended until 31 of August 2025. <br>From 17 December 2024 to 18 May 2025 at Museo Omero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hours<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Until 30 of June:<\/strong> from Tuesday to Saturday: 4:00 &#8211; 7:00 pm. Sunday and holidays: 10:00 &#8211; 1:00 am and 4:00 -7:00 pm. 1 January: 4:00 &#8211; 7:00 pm. Closed: Mondays; 24, 25, and 31 December.<br><strong>July and August:<\/strong> from Tuesday to Saturday: 5:00 &#8211; 8:00 pm. Sunday and August 15: 10:00 am &#8211; 1:00 pm and 5:00 &#8211; 8:00 pm.
