{"id":43595,"date":"2026-07-16T16:24:35","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T14:24:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/museoomero.it\/events\/there-once-was-morricone\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T16:25:18","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T14:25:18","slug":"there-once-was-morricone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/museoomero.it\/en\/eventi\/there-once-was-morricone\/","title":{"rendered":"There once was Morricone"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wednesday 22nd of July at 9:30 pm, in the Courtyard of the Mole Vanvitelliana, in Ancona.\u00a0<\/strong><br\/><strong>Free entry, subject to availability.<\/strong><br\/><strong>It is possible to access the courtyard from 8:30.\u00a0<\/strong><br\/><strong>Sensi d&#8217;Estate 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The third evening of the summer festival Sensi d&#8217;Estate is going to host Maximiliano Cimatti with his performance dedicated to Ennio Morricone, one of the greatest artists of the Twentieth century: the composer behind the revolution in soundtracks for cinema.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A tale that builds a portrait of a complex man, who was profoundly devoted to his art but also plagued by a neverending restlessness. &#13;\nThere is a virtual dialogue between a son who is trying to get to truly know his father, between music and unforgettable film in the background.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During Sensi d&#8217;Estate, from 9:00 PM to midnight, the Design Collection of the Museo Omero will be open to the public with free admission for the occasion. A space where visitors can freely and interactively discover the beauty of objects and the thought process behind them. Thirty-two objects from the history of Italian Design, selected from winning projects and honorable mentions of the Compasso d&#8217;Oro, arranged by themes: travel, living, cooking, working, playing. The collection, nominated for the 28th Compasso d&#8217;Oro, was included in the ADI Design Index 2022 and 2023.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Information<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The performances are <strong>free<\/strong> and take place outdoors in the courtyard of the Mole Vanvitelliana. It is possible <strong>to access the courtyard from 8:30 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>People with disabilities<\/strong> can reserve a seat by emailing info@museoomero.it or calling <strong>+39 342 50 60 364<\/strong> starting from the Thursday preceding the show, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>case of rain<\/strong>, the shows will be <strong>canceled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dog owners<\/strong> must always keep their four-legged friends on a leash and have a muzzle ready to use if necessary. Guide dogs are, of course, welcome.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As in previous editions, the audience can support the &#8220;Per il Museo Tattile Statale Omero&#8221; ODV-ETS Association. The\u00a0festival is organized by the Museo Tattile Statale Omero in collaboration with the Municipality of Ancona,\u00a0<strong>Ancona Servizi<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Opera Societ\u00e0 Cooperativa<\/strong>, and the\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Per il Museo Tattile Statale Omero&#8221; ODV-ETS Association.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Mole Vanvitelliana<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An architectural masterpiece on the water built by Luigi Vanvitelli between 1733 and 1743, today it serves as the city&#8217;s <strong>cultural hub<\/strong>, bridging history, art, design, and events. It also hosts The Mole (a bistro and literary caf\u00e9) and the Lazzabaretto (featuring the Arena cinema, Sconcerti Festival, and the Provviste literary festival).
