The Museo Omero is hosting the presentation of the European Erasmus Plus Sport project ISEEN - Nature that includes, an initiative dedicated to accessible trekking for people with visual disabilities.

The afternoon will begin with a guided tour at 4:00 PM, followed by the project presentation in the Conference Room at 5:00 PM.

A Project for Inclusion and Accessibility in the Mountains

Conceived by Giulia Pagoni and Michael Pellegrino, two young individuals with visual impairments, ISEEN - Nature that includes is a training program aimed at specializing guides who can assist visually impaired people on mountain trails, including high-altitude routes.

Thanks to funding from the European Community (Erasmus+ Sport), six Italian volunteers will travel to Spain, in the Asturias region, for an intensive one-week training course with Lobo Nómada, an organization specialized in inclusive trekking. After this experience, the participants will apply their newly acquired skills to make Italian mountain trails accessible to everyone.

A Unique Initiative in Italy

Promoted by ASD Atletica Castelfidardo 1990 R. Criminesi, this project introduces a training program never before implemented in Italy, with the goal of creating a team of specialized instructors. Throughout the year, nine additional guides will be involved in the training process.
